The Death of Books

Once upon a time, before the internet, people would read books. They would buy these books at book shops.

As a young man I would go and sit in these book shops and read about all kinds of things. I especially liked reading about animals that had gone extinct. Like dodos.

But, as the internet became more popular, book shops began to disappear. They were replaced by phone shops and strip clubs. One day, the last book shop in the world closed.

Time passed, and after a while people couldn’t even remember why they had read books in the first place.
