On Friday I received the exciting news that two of my comedy projects, web series ‘Scott’s Lookalikes’ and our martial arts sketch ‘Tony’s Dojo’, have been longlisted for ‘Best Internet Comedy’ at the British Comedy Awards this year. Those are the awards hosted by Jonathan Ross every year where British comedians get drunk and slag each other off. Sort of like The Oscars if they were sponsored by Fosters and invited Johnny Vegas along.
So by now you’re probably screaming “How the hell do we get Greg to this illustrious event?”
Well I need your help. The sketches with the most online votes by the end of this week will be put forward for nominations. You can have a hand in my destiny. So I’m humbly asking my readers, fans, friends and enemies to please visit the following two links post haste and click “Vote”:
Click the titles for the links and scroll down to Vote. It takes 2 seconds (1.5 if you’re quick on the old mouse like me), you can vote for more than one project, and there’s no Sign Ups or Naked Photo Uploads needed. You’ll even burn calories.
If we get nominated for the awards, my cousin Chris and I promise to wear the Dumb and Dumber tuxedos to the event so what are you waiting for? Do it now and Don’t Delay.
We’re up against some big hitters in the comedy world, so to help spread the word, you might even post this little message to your social media to help our campaign:
“My friend Greg is up for a British Comedy Award for his internet comedy. Please take 2 seconds to visit these two links to vote for his projects and help him achieve his dream of getting heckled by a drunk Johnny Vegas: http://www.comedy.co.uk/bca/video/43 AND http://www.comedy.co.uk/bca/video/94. Thanks so much!”
Thanks so much! Fingers Crossed!
